All packed up and ready to go

So I've got my appointment with the hip surgeon in Richmond on thursday and since we have to be that way anyway and because it's been such a miserable and hard winter for us with having the stuff stolen in november and losing a bunch of money on that and then the weather being horrible and making me hurt like nobody's business, we decided to try and make some fun out of it and go down tomorrow morning and check into a hotel  and then go for a nice dinner and make a mini vacay out of it. It'll be a much needed little getaway and serve as an early valentines gift for both of us. i'm totally looking forward to getting away for a couple days and just chill out because being cooped up here in the house all winter REALLY sucks ass and is about to drive me crazy. I finally finished packing my stuff a few minutes ago an am exhausted now and ready for bed. So i'll update when we get back. see ya in a few days.

New Story Idea,Walmart Sucks & Other Randomness

***So I was watching TV the other day-Ghost Adventures to be exact(don't laugh-I was bored & watched it more for the location than anything cuz they are a bunch of bozos & their so called 'evidence' is a freaking joke.) But anyway they were at Bobby Mackeys Music World in Wilder KY.-they've been there a few times, and I've heard about it being haunted a bunch of times through other paranormal shows & books. But this time as I was watching and listening to the song 'Johanna' by Bobby Mackey play in the background & hearing Johanna's real life story again, I was inspired to write a story about her and her life-or rather my interpretation of what her life & death may have been like. If  you would like to know more about the story- Google Bobby Mackey's Music World and their website has a bunch of links to historical info sites & a bunch of paranormal sites with info about the supposed hauntings there. Also I highly recommend youtubing 'Johanna' by Bobby Mackey- the song is so hauntingly beautiful that it will almost send chills down your spine. If you really like it, Itunes has it for D/L.
***On the topic of great songs-not related to any of the above- but how great is 'Grenade' by Bruno Mars?  I absolutely f-ing love that song!
***I got a new keybosrd tonight so that I dont have to use the on on my laptop anymore. The longer cord makes it so much easier to write for longer since I dont have to hunch over the laptop constantly. which is much better on my hip.
*** I so totally hate Walmart. Went in tonight to get the 'hard candy' brand eyeshadow primer {because it is a GREAT shadow primer -it works better for me than both the Sephora(can you say STICKY!!) brand and the Urban Decay primer potion(that ones too thick and the color of it doesn't work for me. but the Hard Candy one is barely noticable after it dries and it holds the shadow SO well-wore it for like 18 hours the other day and it never smeared or creased. But I digress}  and the Hard Candy display was a freaking wreck. the few products that were actually in stock were all over the place-not where they should be and the damn thing hadn't been restocked since before xmas, I know because I've been checking it once a week to see if the stuff will be in. pathetic. then i went to ask the lady who was stocking makeup about when it would actually be stocked and all she did was shrug and say check back. i wanted to choke her and yell that I have been. ugh! dumb ass people. she was the makeup stocker, you would think she would make sure the shit got reordered when it ran out and MAYBE just MAYBE got straightened out once in a while. I hate going in that place but its a freaking necessary evil cuz with most things you can't afford to get them somewhere else.
Ok I've rambled enough now. night.

Sick of Winter

Ugh, I'm so totally sick of winter already! That cake business is SUPER SLLLOOOOWWW this time of year which leaves me with a whole bunch of nothing to do. Plus the miserable cold makes my hip hurt which makes going out really painful. so here I am trapped at home most days. bored out of my mind and in pain. can't wait for spring & summer to roll back around! they can't get here soon enough for me. I've been trying to use my free time to write and work on more crafts/jewelry but most days the pain in my hip is so intense that I just don't feel up to it.  I've got my appointment with the surgeon on Feb 10th and am really hoping that goes well and he thinks he can help me cuz I'm SO SICK of living in constant pain. Its the worst thing in the world and its got me really sad and blue lately. Its been way too long that I've put up with this stupid hip injury and not gotten any answers or solutions about it. eh....well I might actually try to get some sleep now. I've been up all night for most of the nights here lately.
On a positive note SHADOWFEVER was freaking A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Karen Moning is a literary genius! It was already one of my favorite series but she really wrapped it up well...even left room for a possible new book.

Story in 100 words ...

is a writing challenge where your goal is to put together as complete a story as possible with ONLY 100 words. This is what I came up with. Its based on the storyline of what I hope will be my published novel someday.   Trinity is a vampire hunter who is out for revenge for the deaths of her father and twin brother. while out hunting one night she comes across a house in which vampires have just massacred an entire family. as she is leaving she notices one of the people is alive. It's a guy about her age, so she scoops him up & takes him with her to heal him and such. After he's well again they become vamp hunting partners and from there on struggles, adventures and romance ensue. I'm playing with the option of Trinity becoming a vampire against her will, so my 100 word piece is based on what would happen if Leland was dying and the only option to save him would be giving him her blood. this would not however make him a vampire, just heal him.

100 Word Story Challenge
It was bittersweet, this end we'd come to.
There I was, now everything I once hated. A Vampire.
I kneeled before him, offering him my blood.
Once my fellow hunter, he would now hunt me.
I would save his life anyway, he’s saved mine more than once.
Reluctantly, he accepted the lifesaving liquid.
when I felt he’d taken enough, I softly kissed his lips and stood to leave.
"Trinity?" He gasped "I’ll love you forever, but I will hunt you."
I nodded "I know."
Hot tears slid down my cheeks as I walked away, surrendering myself to the night.

This next one just kinda popped in my head the other day while working on the main story line for my book.  Just a small piece about a vampire's never ending dilemma of having to choose between love and their blood lust.

Eternal Struggle
His hands grip me tighter, fingernails digging into my skin as he squirms in pleasure. My tongue caresses his neck…ever so gently…. he moans…my lips follow, sucking lightly…. and then slowly,my razor sharp fangs descend and almost pierce his skin.
NO!!! My conscious screams at me. Control… you must learn to control yourself and your urges! Lately, however, when he holds me close I’ve wanted nothing more than to sink my fangs into the soft flesh of his neck. To taste the bittersweet essence of him flowing warm across my tongue. To take his lifeblood into myself, and become pleasantly drunk with the sensation. Drink from him until my desire is sated. The rational part of me knows that I cannot. For if I do, once will never be enough, I will NEED more, always more. I will end up draining the life from him little by little until I finally drain him dry….and then what? I am left having hurt another one that I loved.
I tear myself away from him quickly.   He sends me a confused look.
Oh, how I wish I could explain. If only he could understand. His eyes plead with me to come back to his arms but I know what I must do. And so, with a sad smile, willing him to understand, I turn the knob and step from his living room out into the night. The door closing gently sounds like thunder to me. A harsh sound that echoes off the neighboring buildings. I shiver a little realizing I’ve left my coat, but there’s no turning back-not for me. If I do it will surely end in disaster.  And as I walk away for good, boot heals clicking on the pavement, crimson tears slide down my cheeks.

Interesting...

So we were @ the grocery store last night and came across a Lays chips endcap and one of their new flavors is tangy tomato & basil and I thought 'those can't taste good' but John wanted to try them so we bought a bag. And you know what? I almost couldn't believe it but they are freaking delicious. Just thought I'd let y'all know that if u were curious about them.

And So it Begins...

*~*Well, I finally did it, I finally started a blog. I've actually been meaning to for quite a while now and have just been lazy and kept putting it off. But I've got it off the ground now and I'm gonna actually try to update on a regular basis. I've decided to use it for bunch of reasons like sharing some of my writing so I can get feedback on it, updates/pics of & about some of the cakes and crafts I'm working on and maybe even offer some cake/baking tutorial stuff in the future. And last but not least I'm gonna use it for my daily thoughts/feelings/opinions etc...*~* Hope Y'all enjoy :)...Your comments & feedback are more than welcome.
